About us

Despite the widespread interest amongst biologists and the general public, there are relatively few scientists worldwide researching the onychophorans. Our aim is therefore to attain a detailed knowledge of anatomy, embryology, taxonomy and natural history of Onychophora. To achieve this goal, we apply a variety of techniques, including molecular, histological, immunocytochemical, phylogeny reconstruction and developmental biology methods as well as electrophysiology, in conjunction with light, fluorescent, confocal, and scanning and transmission electron microscopy.
